Upon graduating from law school, Paul clerked for the Honorable George E. Juba, United States Magistrate Judge for the District of Oregon. Paul entered private practice in 1988, and since that time has handled a wide variety of civil litigation matters, in both federal and state courts, with particular emphasis on commercial litigation and appeals. Paul has handled numerous trials and appeals on a variety of matters, including business disputes, insurance disputes, employer/employee disputes and real estate disputes. He serves as an arbitrator for the Multnomah County Circuit Court's court-annexed arbitration program, as well as for private arbitrations.
