Dave is an experienced trial lawyer and has been the lead lawyer in hundreds of litigated matters in the state and federal courts in Oregon, Washington, California, and Idaho. Throughout his career, he has handled a wide range of disputes including contract, employment, and business matters. He is one of the few lawyers to maintain an active civil jury trial practice. In keeping with his ability to handle disputes from inception to conclusion, Dave has had an extensive appellate practice, arguing cases before the Oregon Court of Appeals, Land Use Board of Appeals, Oregon Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and U.S. Supreme Court. Dave's extensive experience allows the firm's clients to rely upon an experienced trial and appellate lawyer to represent their interests at every stage of litigation. Among Dave's many accomplishments, Dave argued and prevailed before the U.S. Supreme Court in Northwest Wholesale Stationers, Inc. v. Pacific Stationary & Printing, Co., 472 U.S. 284 (1985).
